Happy 1st Birthday, DEAR YOUNGER SELF!

I blinked, and a whole year went by! I know that you know what that’s like. This time last year, myself, my fellow authors, and our publisher, Kate Butler Books, were all running around mach two, with our hair on fire! It wasn’t just nervousness about our book launch; there was a whole other layer to the cake. We were 30 people who’s extremely personal stories were about to go out into the world for all to see! Even in our excitement, our stories were raw and some of us felt a little vulnerable. We had no idea how our loved ones might react or if we were about to completely embarrass ourselves. It was intimidating. Of course, everything went off without a hitch, and as the days events unfolded on February 22, 2023, we quickly became BEST-SELLING AUTHORS! Then #1 BEST-SELLING AUTHORS! Then we hit #1 in Canada, and became #1 INTERNATIONAL BEST-SELlING AUTHORS! Then Austrailla, and finally Germany. Wait, what? We actually get to do this! It was an amazing day.

What was even more amazing was when friends and family started getting their books in the mail. I received so many beautiful, heart felt notes, emails, private messages and texts.
